Hi Folks, new to this forum here... hope you're all well n good :Smile3:

Am looking for trancy hard filter rich music, without samples, voices, or melodies, and with heavy banging capacity .... :badger::Turtle:Don't mind going into major keys as long as is hard and filtery but without annoying melodies or samples...

As an example, something along the lines of The One by Dozer and Tank, but only from the 2:44-3:34 mark... Is there an artist out there doing this. Long crescendos, filter mad, massive beat. It's not psy trance I'm after, and neither is it Goa trance or progressive...

If anyone knows of anything which is that pure and driven, would love to know...

So this is ok from 2:44 to 3:34, but could be even heavier!!

The One by Dozer and Tank

So would that not effectively just be goa trance?

If not are you sure this genre exists?

Perhaps it is a variant of goa trance. Been looking for this sounds for years & years, which is why am finally asking, am I missing something! It's not D&B, not gabba, not Hardstyle, nor euphoric nrg with those big chords... Problem is that so much of goa trance is diluted by various sounds, I only live for those filter moments....

maybe I need to just get creating this sound myseelf...

on the other hand, if someone does know of something....

Thanks ppl, links have got me digging again....

So basically, I need to make this music. It's acid techno basically, but more into major keys, less dark. Can't find that anywhere, without going into happy hardcore which is not my thing at all

Just listen to some really old goa 93 they liked filters back then plus no commen sounds you hear today. Yes it has melodies but maybe you could do a fusion. Psy acid techno

Hey Yhoda, yes been going back to 90's Goa recently in my search, some of the classic albums from that time! Some of those albums are self-complete and perfect in what they are...

Psy acid techno? Yeah, I think you're right

Only listening on my phone. Just sounds like a classic 303 build up to me

Sound like acid trance - there was shit loads of it about in the mid 90s, in fact it was probably as popular, if not more so on the London party circuit as goa trance. There was a lot more acid lines in goa/psy then - there's an album called Dance, Trance & Magic Plants from the late 90s which you might like or the Green Nuns album.

Or here's a classic platypus tune

    and some Cybernaut

On a more modern vibe s- you might enjoy Ben Fraser/Sabretooth - he records acid trace/techno as Ben Fraser and psy as Sabretooth - all with very tight driving production and a lot of acid lines.

Here's a recent mix of his productions

    Cheers @JohnM

I saw an old friend creep into your selection, Art of Trance - Octopus. Can't say I recall hearing the Green Nuns or Cybernaut Hydro.. good though. Never heard of Sabretooth either, cheers for that. Gives me more to work on.

@thegoatboy yeah it is just the classic 303 build up, but usually this stuff is always dark and minor keys - trying to make it happy sounding usually results in it sounding cheesy and awful

So have you actually heard this music then? If so, can you remember where? I'm intrigued.

@Candiety only small fractions of tune hit on it. Parts of Hallucinogen's Space Pussy has its moments, esp., from the 6.5 min mark, as i remember. haven't really come across this sound I'm after, was wondering whether had missed something years ago. Need to make my own.
